Objective

The object of the Foundation is to provide administrative, organizational and managerial support for the Council group Volt in the Maastricht City Council. It also aims to perform all other acts which are related to the above-mentioned aim in the broadest sense or which may be conducive to it.

Policy Plan

Through its work, the Council group Volt promotes the interests of all residents of Maastricht. It does this by accomplishing the policies set by the party in its election program under the motto Maastricht in 2030: the beating heart of Europe. The election program consists of twelve spearheads:

  1. Better connections: Limburg, Belgium and Germany
  2. Building affordable housing
  3. A sustainable Maastricht in a green Europe
  4. A citizens' council in Maastricht
  5. The Meuse-Rhine Cultural Fund.
  6. Municipal executive of the future: European Affairs
  7. Multilingualism at the heart of Europe
  8. Museums between Meuse and Rhine: Connect Europeans
  9. Social Maastricht
  10. Education as a weapon against inequality
  11. Newcomers & Entrepreneurs: trust and guidance
  12. Feeling safe in the heart of Europe

More information about our policies can be found in our policy plan.

Drivers

The board of the Foundation consists of an odd number of natural persons. The directors are appointed by the board and are all members of Volt Nederland upon appointment. They are appointed for a maximum period of 4 years and can be reappointed once.

Reward

The directors receive no remuneration for their board activities. They are, however, entitled to reimbursement of expenses incurred by them in the performance of their duties and an attendance fee that is not excessive.

Volunteers receive volunteer compensation according to legal requirements.

Personnel who are appointed, such as a group supporter, are either commissioned through a zzp contract or appointed as salaried employees. An employment contract is then drawn up that meets the legal requirements.

Report of activities carried out

The board of the Foundation met after its establishment. Agreements were drawn up with future volunteers.

An annual report of activities carried out will be published on this page. Given that the Foundation was established as of March 31, 2022, no report has been published for the time being, in addition to the above activities.

Financial Accountability

This page publishes annual financial statements, including a balance sheet and statement of income and expenses. As the Foundation was recently established, no accountability has yet been published.
